A compiled catalogue based on the series of the modern Carlsberg Automatic Meridian Circle (CAMC) catalogues Nrs. 4,5,6,7 and 8 is presented. It consists of about 117.000 stars and is used in the Observatorio Nacional (Brazil) as the reference system in the astrometrical CCD observations of bodies in the Solar System. This Catalogue is used to update positions of the Guide Star Catalogue stars which are used in the reductions.

Some investigations of the compiled CAMC catalogue based on the radio secondary reference frame were made using the set of astrometric VLA and VLBI positions of radio stars. The radio positions are compared against the compiled CAMC' positions. Systematic errors of the compiled CAMC catalogue are found to be less than 0."1.

The analysis shows agreement between the radio results from the different facilities, accounting for the different error thresholds.

The relative orientation between the radio and the CAMC reference frames is examined and is found to be withing 40 mas.
