The Tycho Catalogue. Based on observations made with the ESA Hipparcos satellite, and on work by the Tycho Consortium in collaboration with the INCA, FAST and NDAC Consortia

The final Tycho Catalogue has been derived from 37 months of observations with the astrometric satellite Hipparcos. It contains about one million stars with a median internal standard error of 0.025 arcsec for the positions at the mean epoch of observations. About 900000 stars are high quality astrometric reference stars. The catalogue will be presented and various aspects of its production.
