I am Magdalena Polinska, my main field of interest are small bodies in the Solar System - asteroids, its origin, formation and evolution.
I am interested in physical properties of the asteroids. I carry out observations of asteroids which can provide us with a lot of knowledge about the objects. Thanks to photometric observations we can determine asteroids lightcurve and then for example: rotational periods, senses of rotation and their shapes. The asteroids have been formed during the birth of our Solar System, they are remains from the past. The understanding how the Solar System originated is very important for build up the knowledge about asteroids and their physical properties.
